Godwin Heights All Sports Athletic Complex Entrance

The Godwin Heights All Sports Athletic Complex is home to the Fighting Wolverines in Wyoming, MI. The hot-dip galvanized steel gates welcome band, football, and soccer fans to a beautiful sports complex that seats 6,000 patrons. The original steel structure was installed in 2001 and was painted. Over the years, it deteriorated to the point that it was not safe or functional. With the structure continuously exposed to the elements, Tim Deboer at Custom Steel Fabricators convinced the Godwin Heights School to go with a Duplex system consisting of hot-dip galvanizing with epoxy paint.

In a close partnership with Custom Steel Fabricators, V & S Detroit was involved with all phases of the project which included: Design for the hot-dip process and logistics from the fabricator to the galvanizer and back to the job sight. Our trucks moved steel through all phases of the project, which helped everyone meet the schedule requested by the customer.
