Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City

With the damaging hurricanes that hit the Jersey shores in recent years, Atlantic City decided that moving forward, they needed steel that could be protected beyond a basic paint system. Hot-dip galvanizing was selected as the best choice for its ability to protect against the sand, debris and ocean salt water that can cause corrosion to the city’s steel structures. One of the first projects complete was the Hard Rock Casino and Hotel.

For this project, the entire front façade, with signature 10- story Gibson guitar, and front blockade entry was hot-dip galvanized. The architectural finish demonstrates more of a modern pop design that blends beautifully with the over-sized guitar hanging above the welcoming walls. The hot-dip galvanized steel provides the strength and corrosion protection needed to endure any future natural disasters, and hot-dip galvanizing will continue to be specified by the city for all structural steel used in any rehab and new construction projects throughout Atlantic City.
